A success story of two nurses!

In 1990 MediPower Pty Ltd: Home Nursing was purchased by Faulding Pharmaceuticals.

Barbara Anne Merrigan and Wendy Martin, the directors of M&M HealthPower Pty Ltd, were employed by MediPower Home Nursing.

Wendy was employed as a Senior Nurse Practitioner and Barbara Anne as the Director of Nursing.

The business successfully achieved ACHS Accreditation (one of the first private companies to achieve this standard). Following a Corporate Review Faulding restructured and as a result the MediPower Home Nursing Business closed.

Barbara Anne and Wendy decided to continue operations under the umbrella of a Registered Business called Martin & Merrigan. This business was initially operated out of a home office, with no capital outlay, and Barbara Anne and Wendy operated the business fulfilling all the administration and clinical nursing care requirements, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

In 2000 Martin and Merrigan became an incorporated entity called M&M HealthPower Pty Ltd and subsequently relocated its operations to new offices in Canterbury where it continues to operate today.

To meet the growing needs of the community M&M is constantly evaluating and adapting our administrative and clinical infrastructure to ensure that the highest level of care is provided to our patients and their families in the community.

M&M HealthPower is now one of the largest providers of in-home health care services in Melbourne. The company has 10 years experience in providing nursing and personal care service assisting people and promoting independence and interdependence in the Home Environment.
